The most frequent question we receive before a junk removal booking is what we will and will not take. Here is a clear breakdown.
Furniture and Household Items
Old furniture removal in Perth is one of the most common requests NP Movers receives for junk jobs. Sofas, armchairs, dining sets, bed frames, mattresses, wardrobes, bookshelves, and other household furniture are all accepted. The advantage of booking a removalist crew for furniture disposal in Perth rather than a standard rubbish collection service is that we can handle heavy and awkward pieces properly for example, a refrigerator does not get dragged across your floor, and a three-seat sofa does not go out through a window because the team could not manage the stairs.
Whitegoods and Appliances
Fridges, freezers, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, and other whitegoods are accepted. These items require specific handling during removal in which fridges and freezers must be kept upright during transport, and some whitegoods contain refrigerant gases that are subject to disposal regulations. NP Movers handles whitegood removal in compliance with relevant disposal requirements and does not simply dump regulated items in landfill.
Hard Rubbish and Renovation Waste
Hard rubbish removal in Perth covers the items that council collections either do not take or have limits on, timber off-cuts and planks, old doors and window frames, tiles, concrete rubble in manageable quantities, old fencing materials, carpet and underlay, and other construction and renovation waste. If you have completed a bathroom renovation, a kitchen refit, or any building work and have a pile of materials sitting in your garage or yard, NP Movers can clear it in a single visit.
Note: hazardous materials including asbestos, chemical waste, and regulated industrial materials are not accepted. If you are unsure whether a material is classified as hazardous, contact us before booking.
Garden and Outdoor Waste
Outdoor furniture, old garden equipment, barbecues, kids' play equipment, garden sheds (disassembled), and general garden waste including branches and prunings are accepted. Pool equipment including old pumps and filter housings are also accepted subject to draining and disconnection before the crew arrives. NP Movers does not provide garden maintenance or pruning, the waste must already be cut and ready for removal.
Office and Commercial Junk
Old office furniture including desks, chairs, filing cabinets, shelving systems, and reception units. Outdated IT equipment including monitors, desktops, printers, and networking hardware (subject to data destruction if required are arrange separately before the removal). General commercial waste including display fixtures, old signage, and storage racking. For business clients with regular disposal needs, ongoing arrangements are available, contact us to discuss.
